Day 2- Animal Kingdom

We had to take the bus to Animal Kingdom...not fun.
Speaking of not fun, doesn't look like Carson is happy here.

The kids all like the dinosaur fossil dig site.

They had this area filled with bird seed and you could dig for bones. I was suprised to see Carson digging since hes usually the one that doesn't like to get dirty.

After AK we went back to our resort took the monorail to MK then the boat to Camp Fort Wilderness- Mickey's Backyard BBQ.It was pouring. This was our first time and hate to say it will be our last. It counts as 2 table service meals. And is not worth it at all.

The kids enjoyed all the corn on the cob.
The boys didn't care for the characters this year. I guess its their age. They sat and ate and played.

While Carly & Camlin danced with Mickey & Minnie.

After dinner we decided to head back to MK to catch the parade.
Simple. Right?

Wrong!
We didn't want to take the boat back. It was just not easy to get everyone on with the stroller and all.
So we tried to take the bus. We were told take the orange bus, no take the purple, no you have to take a yellow bus to the front then take the orange to MK.....blah blah.
NIGHTMARE!
But we did finally make it to MK, and watch the parade.

And that was so worth it.

Day One Magic Kingdom

After my Publix trip. I can't go a few days without making a trip to Publix. I had to go get organic milk and yogurt. I packed a storage tub full of snacks, and 3 cases of water so I didn't need any of that.
We took the monorail to Magic Kingdom later in the afternoon.
But since MK was open until 1AM we were in no rush. I didn't get very many pics. But Scott's mom did!!

It poured on us that night waiting for the parade so after 45 minutes of rain we gave up and went back to the resort. We would have stayed but Camlin was screaming he wasn't to fond of the rain. It ended up raining 3-4" that night. And the parade was cancelled. :(

someone please tell me never to wear stripes

The kids all wanted Toy Story toys, and Camlin even found what he wanted.

Buzz Lightyear Space Spin is one our favorite rides. It has been since we 1st took the boys in 2006.

Well thats it for the 1st day. More pictures tomorrow.

waiting

-waiting for the monorail.
One of the big reasons why we chose the Polynesian was because of the monorail. It ran right through the resort, and straight to Magic Kingdom.
IMO (in my opinion) the WDW buses are a big PITA.And not to mention they drive like Nascar drivers.
But when you have small kids, a stroller (we had a double) and all the bags you pack its hard. And when the kids are sleeping, tired, ill...

Staying in a resort that has the monorail is so worth it when you have small children.
Lets try again-
thats better.

They even shared their chocolate

Arrival

We arrived at the Polynesian around 11, they greeted all of us with leis. Even the kids liked them. My camera was burried in the millions of bags I packed so I didn't get any pictures of our resort when we arrived. It was nice they already had our rooms ready. We had connecting rooms. The kids loved running back and forth. Not sure Nanny & PawPaw enjoyed all the screaming, and craziness....lol
Guess we will see next time if they want connecting rooms.

Anyways heres a few pics-

Cute elephant made from towels & wash cloths. Who thinks of these things.

You all know what that is- Mickey Mouse ears.

Not sure where this was at, Scotts Mom actually took all of these pictures. Remember my camera was buried.
Looks so peacefully and serene. :)

We were also stalked while we were there. By ducks, and birds. Of course the kids fed them and they liked us.

PawPaw standing right in front of our rooms. We had ground level which was so nice.

The kids excited to finally be in Disney.
And I was excited that Scotts mom took all these great pics.

Thank you!!
